If you need a translation…
Here are some questions I sometimes ask when I receive a request for translation. Any answers you provide are appreciated!
● Do you need the translated file by a particular date? If so, when?
● What is the format of the file to be translated? Examples: Microsoft Word, SDLXLIFF, ‘true’ PDF, scanned PDF, image file such as JPG or TIFF, PowerPoint file, Excel file, …
● In what format do you want the translated file?
● Is a CAT tool required? If yes, which one?
● Does formatting need to be reproduced?
● Is it OK if I send you any queries at the same time as the translation?
(If you want more time to handle queries, I can send them individually as they arise or in small batches.)
